When I found out that I am going to have a baby, I was the happiest woman on Earth. I loved to be pregnant, and loved my baby girl I carried in my belly, and later in my hands. She always wanted to be close to us, to be cradled in our arms. I loved that, but I found no carrier that was good enough, and it was very tiring to keep her in my arms all day. I could not do my housework either. I had a kangaroo carrier, but it just did not feel right. My baby girl grew bigger, and we stared to plan our second baby.
My second pregnancy was great, just like the first one. I adored
every minute of it. My beloved Sari was just a completely different
personality. She cried louder, and almost all the time. So I searched the
internet, and found a sling I purchased on EBay. It seemed easy to use, and
fun. It gave us freedom. We went for long walks together, the three of us. She
grew bigger and we bought an SSC (Soft Structured Carrier), but it was way too
big for me, and was so padded, that in summer I could not bear it.
When I was pregnant with my third baby girl I came across a great
baby wearing community, where I found the information I needed. I bought my
first stretchy wrap, then came my RS (Ring Sling) and the woven wraps. All
kinds. I adored patterned jacquard wraps, but never found the perfect pattern
for me. I searched high and low for weaving mills, and came across a nice man
who could weave wraps for me by hand, and later another mill who wove fabric
for me on machines. We created many patterns.
Along with these wraps came my soft structured, wrap conversion
carriers. We designed Half Buckles, Mei
Tai, Full Buckles, Pod, Buckle Onbu, and all accessories. My husband only
carried our girls in carriers, and loved it, just like me. Lujzus Wraps was no
longer a dream, but a reality.
